Map Your Route

PATH Foundation Trails

Decatur has three PATH Foundation trails running within the city! The Decatur PATH includes the Commerce Drive Cycle Track, and runs from Church Street to West Howard Avenue (just past the Decatur High School). The East Decatur Greenway borders the east side of Legacy Park, running from the Avondale MARTA Station (within the City of Decatur) to South Columbia Drive. And the Stone Mountain Trail runs east to west through the middle of Decatur along the railroad. Follow it east to Stone Mountain and take a lap or two around the mountain or take it west to the Atlanta Beltline and Piedmont Park.

Both the Decatur PATH and East Decatur Greenway are easily connected to the Stone Mountain Trail.

Join A Ride

Bikes & Brews

Join Decatur Parks and Recreation for Bikes & Brews on the first and third Friday of each month. The monthly rides are 6 miles and start at 6:30 pm from Guild + Journeyman, 115 Clairemont Ave. Discover new corners of Decatur followed by some well-deserved brews from a local brewery!  Helmets required for a safe and enjoyable ride.

Saturday Rides

Decatur Parks and Recreation also hosts Saturday rides on the first and third Saturday of each month. These Saturday rides are designed for everyone, especially casual riders, kids with accompanying adults, and those rekindling their love for cycling. You’ll cover a distance of 5 miles or less, meandering through neighborhoods and making pit stops at various points during the ride. Meet up at 10 am at Guild + Journeyman, 115 Clairemont Ave.

Unwind and Refuel

Replenish your energy after all that riding! Beer lovers can choose from a vast  selection of local, regional, and international craft brews at the Brick Store Pub — don’t miss the beer garden around back. BTW, Decatur is home to two exceptional breweries, and two brewpubs, too.

You can also recharge at a local pizzeria, taqueria, or burger joint.

End your day at Legacy Park for a food truck feast in May and September on Truckin’ Tuesdays. And stick around for a show at Eddie’s Attic almost any evening, or enjoy free jazz nights outside in Oakhurst Thursdays in April and September, and free Summer Covers concerts on the square every fourth Friday May-August.
