From music, art, and books to barbecue, beer, and wine – we’ve got a festival for that!
Some events are so great, we celebrate them year after year!
We kick off the year with Lunar New Year festivities and Mardi Gras Parade (and party). Our new Decatur International Festival highlights the diversity of our community in March with a day full of mesmerizing performances and music. The Decatur Arts Festival brings art to the streets in May. Join us for the Pied Piper Parade and fireworks on July 4.
Fall is a frenzy of live music, wine and beer festivals, and fun. The Pan African Festival and Salsa on the Square fill our plaza with culture, traditions, music, and dancing. Porchfest turns Oakhurst into Georgia’s largest organic free-range crowd-sourced music festival with more than 200 performances on porches, driveways, and front yards. SUDS, Decatur’s craft beer festival, spreads out across Legacy Park in October, and The Decatur Wine Festival comes to the square in November; both benefit nonprofits.
Winter brings holiday magic to the square. Decatur wraps up the year with tree and menorah lightings, Santa sightings, and our annual bonfire + marshmallow roast.
