Front porches become stages, yards become venues, and radical generosity and good rules the day at Oakhurst Porchfest. It’s Georgia’s largest grassroots music festival and the coolest neighborhood event ever!
Organizers match up 200+ musical acts with homeowners for a FREE, fun-filled afternoon. Study the schedule to make meticulous plans, then abandon them entirely once you start wandering aimlessly at the whims of serendipity. Acts of all genres are spread across a square mile of the Oakhurst neighborhood in Decatur, Georgia. Catch acoustic sets, rock bands, folk, blues, Americana and local cover acts.
The festival goes for seven hours from noon to 7 pm, but each year we never want it to end. The day is relaxed and family-friendly. Meander from yard to yard, listening, hanging out, and connecting with community through the musical cornucopia.

The First Act
Oakhurst Porchfest began in October 2015 as an instant success with more than 130 performances in four hours. Georgia’s music tourism bureau called it “very likely the most diverse lineup of any festival” in the state. The following year the festival bested the record with 185 performances over six hours. And then beat it again in 2017 with 220 acts. And so on and so on. . . The festival remains 100% resident owned and operated, and it’s been growing ever since.

🚗 Rideshare, MARTA, bike and walk. Parking is VERY limited. Expect to find pedestrians, bikes, and crowds spilling out into the street.
📍Porchfest covers a square mile of the Oakhurst neighborhood in Decatur, GA. Harmony Park is roughly the event epicenter.
👋 Meeting friends? Plan ahead! Pick a spot and time beforehand. The neighborhood gets wonderfully crowded with locals and visitors.
🌥️ Rain or shine, the show goes on! Any cancellation announcement will be posted at oakhurstporchfest.org the morning of the event.
🐶 Dogs on leash are allowed. However, different homeowners may have different preferences as it relates to pets on their property.
