Celebrate July 4 hometown-style in downtown Decatur!
Pied Piper Parade

Watch (or join in) the Pied Piper Parade as it winds through downtown with floats, wagons, and bicycles. This year, the parade ends at the community greenspace at the corner of Commerce Drive and Trinity Place. After the parade, enjoy a community concert on the lawn.
End the evening with a boom! Fireworks start at dark (approximately 9 pm). The community greenspace at the corner of Commerce Drive and Trinity Place will be the main fireworks viewing spot. Get here early to to claim your space, and don’t forget your red, white and blue!

Pied Piper Parade
Join in by foot, bike, wagon, vintage/specialty car, float or any creative method of your choice. Gather friends and family to ride, walk, or skate in this community parade – it’s for anyone and everyone! Neighborhoods and organizations are encouraged to join the fun too. And don’t forget your red, white and blue!
Prizes will be awarded for best dressed participants.
Parade line-up begins at 5:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Decatur, 308 Clairemont Ave., Decatur, GA 30030. Pedestrians should gather on the lawn and vehicles will line up in the parking lot. The parade begins at 6 p.m. and winds through downtown, ending at the community greenspace at the corner of Commerce Drive and Trinity Place.

Fireworks
The City of Decatur plans to launch its annual fireworks display on Thursday, July 4, beginning at dark (approximately 9 pm). The community is encouraged to find a safe, distanced place to watch the 15-20 minute show that will launch from the top of the DeKalb County parking deck on East Trinity Place. Streets within the fireworks fallout zone will be closed.
For 2025, the live music stage and main fireworks viewing spot will be at the community greenspace at the corner of Commerce Drive and Trinity Place.
