Decatur Ghost Tours
We’re told Decatur’s dead are pretty restless . . . Take a two hour walking tour around downtown Decatur to spots that share space with the ghosts of Decatur’s past. You’ll stop at shops, restaurants, historic homes and the edge of the Decatur Cemetery. Tours begin after dusk, at 8 pm.

Spooky Sips and Pop-Ups
Decatur’s mixologists are brewing a plethora of potions to delight, and a few of our restaurants are going all out for an immersive experience. You can’t beat Rreal Tacos highly anticipated Halloween pop-up opening Oct. 1.
Pumpkin Glassblowing Classes
Pumpkin picking? Classic. Pumpkin making? Even better. Create your own glass pumpkin paperweight at Decatur Glassblowing in October. Choose from 29 gorgeous colors, and work one-on-one with a professional to blow your own little cutie.
Neighborhood Haunts
Wander beyond our business districts and into nearby neighborhoods where locals compete each year for the coveted Commissioner’s Cauldron in the Decorate Decatur Competition. Take a stroll or drive to see front yards possessed with otherworldly scenes and humorous haunts. Jack-o-lanterns, black cats, ghosts, giant spiders, and skeletons too!
The winner is announced on Halloween Night, and awards are presented at the November Commissioners Meeting.

Trick or Treat Week

Gather your little ghouls and goblins for Trick or Treat Week in Downtown Decatur. Kids and teens can dress up in costume and visit spook-tacular stops throughout downtown Sunday, October 25 through Saturday, October 31! Look for the “Trick or Treat Stop” candy signs in the windows of our Decatur storefronts.

Scream on the Square
Friday, October 30
Activities start at 5 pm • Movie at 7 pm
Come in costume for a fang-tastic Friday night on Decatur Square full of family-friendly Halloween activities with City of Decatur departments. Enjoy trick-or-treating, face painting, and music before an outdoor showing of Casper (the friendly ghost) at 7 pm on the big screen. Bring your chairs and blankets for the movie. FREE.
Candlelight Concerts: A Haunted Evening of Halloween Classics

Experience the magic of a candlelight concerts this Halloween. At The Chapel on Sycamore, the soft glow of candlelight sets the stage for a spine-tingling evening of Halloween-inspired music. Roaring Social Halloween Party

Step into a night of mystery, music, and mayhem at Roaring Social Decatur. The underground social club will transform into a haunted hideaway filled with eerie energy, themed cocktails, and thrilling entertainment. Dress to scare, sparkle, or steal the spotlight; winning their costume contest comes with a $500 prize. The night kicks off with live music from G-Clef from 6-9 pm, and DJ B-Don from 9 pm to midnight.
