The Decatur Visitors Center is managed by the Decatur Tourism Bureau and staffed by native Decaturites and longtime locals full of personal knowledge about the city. Find us downtown, just off the square at 113 Clairemont Ave. We can’t wait to welcome you in person!

About the Decatur Tourism Bureau
Established in 2008, the Decatur Tourism Bureau is a 501(c)6 organization created to receive and administer excise taxes levied by the City of Decatur on rooms, lodging, and accommodations to promote, stimulate, and develop tourism in and visitors to the City of Decatur.
A seven-member Board of Directors governs the organization. Four board members serve by virtue of the offices they hold including the Executive Director of the Decatur Downtown Development Authority, the City Manager of the City of Decatur, the Executive Director of the Decatur Arts Alliance, and a representative member of the Decatur Business Association. The remaining three board members are involved with one or more of the following industries or activities including hospitality, restaurant, convention, trade show, museum, art gallery, botanical garden, park, green space, marketing, festival, recreation, sports, public attractions, entertainment venues, performing arts, retail, or any other similar destination/tourism-related activity in the City of Decatur.
The Tourism Bureau hires an Executive Director to run the day-to-day operations including the Decatur Visitors Center.
