Decatur Recreation Center is one of the city’s three community centers. It boasts a spacious full-size gymnasium, modern meeting rooms equipped with audiovisual equipment, and innovative multi-purpose studio featuring a “sprung” floor and mirrored wall, perfect for dance and movement classes. The gym offers bleacher seating for 200 and can accommodate up to 500. The facility is ADA-compliant, ensuring accessibility with features like elevators, ramps, ADA bathrooms with showers, hearing devices, and a braille strip on the upper track handrail.
Scott Park is directly behind the Decatur Recreation Center. The park has a playground, community garden, and tennis courts.
