The historic Decatur Cemetery is Decatur’s largest downtown greenspace. Just .5 miles from the Square, the 58 acres are a beautiful and peaceful place to walk with a peek into the city’s past. The cemetery is accessible to the public seven days a week until dark. Dogs are welcome but must stay on leash and on the paved roads.
Join in the Friends of the Cemetery’s guided tour on second Sundays of the month, May–October, or hit the highlights on your own with the Lives that Made the City walking tour brochure.
